Leadership
LearningCurve is led by David Riddle who has led learning events for well over a decade in a wide range of settings. Some of his first instruction was as a youth at a summer camp. Communication skills, foreign cultures and many other topics were presented/facilitated while working in South Africa and Swaziland in the early 1990's.
Through conducting numberless on the job training sessions and new hire orientations David continued to hone his insight into learning. While a graduate student David taught two classes of Business Management (Organizational Behavior) at the Walker College of Business and two applied labs of Computers in Psychology (research and statistical analysis).
Earning a Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology/HR Management from Appalachian State University in 1999 added to the depth of his knowledge. Since then his experience has continued to broaden and includes: work with assessment centers. performance management and feedback training for supervisors, computer systems, customer services, sales process and skill development.
David's experience in learning ranges from identifying the knowledge or skill gap to developing and delivering training through channels such as small groups, classroom, webinars, and on-demand eLearning directly. This work has been accomplished directly by himself and in a team environment that included direct reports and partners in the business. He continues to develop on-demand learning as the reality of the present and future or learning.
David has maintained his certification as an Human Resource Professional from HRCI since 2000. He is active in the Charlotte ASTD Chapter and Toastmasters International.
As a youth he became an Eagle Scout. Today he serves as a Scoutmaster and has received the Scouter's Training Key and Wood Badge award.
